Michelle Obama's annual Q&A session with the children of Executive Office employees took an unusual turn when a young girl told America's First Lady that her father had been out of work for three years - and then popped up to hand over her father's CV.
The President's wife seemed taken aback and then explained to the other children, who might not have heard the girl's comment, that it was a private matter but the girl was "doing something for her dad". Mrs Obama promised to deal with the issue later.
When the event at the White House ended, Mrs Obama gave the girl a hug and then reached back to grab the CV off a table as she left the East Room.
