The Customs Division won 27 cases in the Criminal Court in 2008 and 21 in 2009, Finance Minister Tonio Fenech told Parliament in reply to a question by Josè Herrera (PL).

Besides these cases there were two others in 2008 and six in 2009 in which out-of-court settlements were reached, even though they had already been assigned for hearing.
