Cruise passenger arrivals last month dipped when compared to November 2009, but arrivals in the first 11 months of this year were still higher than the whole of last year, cruise terminal operator Viset said today.

It said arrivals dropped last month because of the cancellation of three port calls.

Total passenger movements since January up to the end of November reached 466,684, compared to 419,200 during the same period in 2009 - an 11.33 % over January – November 2009.

Total cruise passenger movements for the full year 2009 stood at 439,285.

The total number of passenger movements last month was 48,578 compared to 52,133 during the same period last year.

Three vessels cancelled their calls: the MV Delphin Voyager, the MV Zenith and the MV Silver Cloud. There was one additional call by the MV Grand Voyager in November.

There were also two maiden calls last month, the Saga Pearl and the Queen Elizabeth.
