Creditinfo Malta Ltd, the leading provider of business information, is celebrating five years in business this month. Since the launch of its first products in November 2002 with just a handful of clients today Creditinfo Malta is one of the main suppliers to the local business community. The company has customers in almost all sectors of business, from insurance, telecommunications, importation and distribution, to banking and financial services. Their credit management system enables users to make better informed credit and business decisions, thus minimising the risks of bad commercial transactions.

Creditinfo's procedures and services had been designed to be compliant with the Data Protection Act which has been in force since 2003. Through the application of purposely designed procedures, through which all data subjects are notified of the data the company holds about them, clients may correct or amend the information. These procedures have enabled the company to provide reliable reports and accurate assessment on one's credit worthiness.

The company has also upgraded its reports. Reports now have three full sets of accounts, which implies that if the company has published a full set of accounts or abridged accounts one would find all the information compiled in one report.

"The advantage of these company reports is that one can compare financial ports over a three-year period. More details include the currency being used in the presentation of accounts.

This will be helpful with the introduction of the euro. Another advantage of these reports is the availability of ratios, which will definitely help any business enterprise with decision-making," general manager John Paris said.

Creditinfo Malta Ltd is also the sole correspondent and distributor for D&B (Dun and Bradstreet), the leading provider of global business information since November 2004.

Creditinfo Malta Ltd forms part of Creditinfo Group, Iceland's leading credit information provider. The group operates in 26 countries with offices in 17. Only recently the group was presented with an international award for job creation. For the fourth consecutive year, Creditinfo is on the Europe's 500 list.

Europe's 500 was initiated by the EU and is sponsored by, among others, Microsoft and KPMG.
