MaltaNet, Malta's leading Internet Service provider, recently organised a training activity focusing on organisational creativity and innovation for their staff. The aim of the training session was to explore ways in which MaltaNet staff could learn to become more creative and innovative, especially where problem solving and dealing with change were concerned.

The programme was developed and conducted by Dr Sandra M. Dingli, lecturer at the University of Malta, and Dorianne Bianco Mallia, HR executive at MaltaNet.

"Very interesting workshop - I managed to understand the importance of looking at new ways for dealing with everyday work situations," "It was definitely worth attending - I realised the importance of innovation in organisations and how employees can contribute to add value to our organisation in a number of ways" were some of the comments from employees after the session.

"Encouraging employees to be creative and innovative is not easy, however these training sessions help to enhance the quality and effectiveness of our staff who are the organisation's most valuable asset," Ms Bianco Mallia said.

"In most issues there is usually a dominating idea, which if not tackled makes it very difficult to think of other solutions. Everything we learnt can easily be applied in a practical way to everyday scenarios."

MaltaNet is the Internet arm of the Maltacom Group.
