A creamy candy has been recalled after it was found to have traces of undeclared milk.

The White Rabbit Cream Candy is to be withdrawn in accordance with the Food Safety Act, said the Environmental Health Directorate within the Superintendence of Public Health.

It specified it must not be consumed by persons who are allergic to milk.

Since the company involved declared that part of the consignment has been sold, the directorate is obliged to inform the public of this recall.

For further information, the public is requested to contact the Health Inspectorate Services between 8am and 2.30 pm on telephone number 2133 7333, or by calling personally at its offices at Continental Business Centre, Old Railway Track, Santa Venera or by email mhi@gov.mt.
