Malta’s heritage is on display in an exhibition of photos at APS Bank which were selected for the bank’s calendar.

Called Banking On Our Local Heritage, the exhibition showcases 12 photos selected from 300 prints submitted for a competition to commemorate the bank’s centenary celebrations.

Photographers were invited to depict Maltese heritage in any of its different facets in the first of a series of competitions organised by the bank together with the Malta Photographic Society.

The photo Safe Return, by Ronald Cocks, placed first, followed by Citta Invicta by Melvin Bugeja, and Xogħol tal-Filogranu by Guido Bartolo.

“The shortlisted photographs show a variety of different techniques and illustrate Malta’s rich heritage in very different ways. APS Bank is proud to support Maltese talent while promoting our local traditions and culture,” bank chairman Emanuel Delia said.

The next APS Bank photographic competition will be launched within the coming weeks, he added.

The exhibition is open between Monday and Friday from 8.15 a.m. to 1.30 p.m. and on Saturday between 8.15 and 11.45 a.m. at the APS Bank Centre in Swatar. Entrance is free.
