CPS has been granted the exclusive representation of RK Marketing in Malta. RK Marketing is the sales and marketing arm for both Rivoira and Kiwi-Uno, two of Italy’s leading fresh fruits producers and distribution centres.

Paul Micallef, managing director of CPS Fruitchain, said that his company had been working with Rivoira, one of Italy’s leading food producers, for over a decade. Rivoira, he said, decided to concentrate all of its local business with CPS.

In Europe, Rivoira is considered to be a pioneer in technological innovation for the fruit sector. In 1951, for example, Michele Rivoira was the first to introduce cold rooms for fruit storage, an innovation that all the other fruit producers in the area adapted in the following years.

CPS Fruitchain owns an extensive distribution centre in Żebbuġ from where it manages the national distribution of its fresh apples, peaches, nectarines, apricots, grapes, pears and kiwis.
