A man who admitted possession of child porn material including footage and photographs, was today condemned to one year in jail suspended for three years and placed under a Treatment Order so that he can receive therapy.The photos and videos showed children under nine years of age.

The court noted that the accused, Darren Azzopardi, had filed an early guilty plea and did not have a criminal record.

The court ordered the destruction of two hard-drives containing pornographic material.

Police Inspector Louise Calleja prosecuted.
