A 25-year-old man and his 49-year-old girlfriend pleaded not guilty to robbing a neighbour at knife point in July.

Clayton Fenech and Josephine Grixti denied holding Robert Thomas Owen against his will, handling stolen property, being in possession of a penknife, and relapsing.

Ms Grixti was also charged with committing a crime during the operative period of a suspended sentence, and with loitering with the intent to prostitute.

Police Inspector Carlos Cordina prosecuted while lawyer Anthony Stellini was legal aid.
