The Hamrun council this afternoon condemned what it described as “an act of vandalism and break in attempt” at the council offices last night.

The council called for all necessary steps to be taken for the persons responsible to be caught.

The police said they received a report at 12.45am that young people were attempting to enter the council offices from a window.

The police went on site but no one was seen in the area.

A window shutter was ajar and a window pane was broken.

Nothing was missing from the office.
