A community project launched today in Cottonera will bring more than 50 elderly residents and children from the area together.

The Wellbeing Across Generations project will involve educational, sporting and cultural events. It is being organised by the Centru Tbexbix and is cofinanced using Voluntary Organisations Project Scheme funds.

Centru Tbexbix director Catherine Azzopardi noted how the centre had grown over the past decade. Part of the money provided would go towards buying an air conditioner for the centre, she said.

Social Dialogue Minister Helena Dalli was on hand for the project launch. She said the government was committed to helping civil society organisations achieve their community aims.
