A 35-year-old man from Cospicua is being arraigned in Court this morning charged with theft from the locality’s sub-station on Monday.

10 metres of cable were stolen from the sub-station at San Gwann t’Ghuxa and as a result damage was registered in a number of households, affecting fridges, air conditioners, computers, modems and other electrical appliances.

In one case, an entire bedroom was engulfed in flames after a television set blew up.
