Week two from 23 of the Honda National League was played at the SuperBowl last week.

Defending champions Fina First maintained their 100 per cent record with another 8-0 win against Royal Shock.

But, it was a revamped Dab Beer side that stole the limelight as they rolled the highest series of the week in their demolition of newcomers Toons Two.

There are some new faces in Dab Beer side this season. They certainly pulled together in a fine team effort to take an easy full-points win against Toons Two.

Dab rolled the best team series (2,445) as the game scores went 814-729, 824-682 and 807-775 in their favour to give them a 259-pin advantage over Toons Two.

Fina First are the only Division One team to boast a perfect record after just two weeks. They won all three of their games comfortably and were a cumulative 189 pins better than Royal Shock, helped on by impressive scores from Dennis Mercieca (637) and Sue Abela (631).

The other four matches all ended with 6-2 scorelines, one of them being a good win for Duwpa Company over Fina Excel.

Duwpa took the first game 741-717 but were then countered with a defeat in the second - 750-764. The match was up for grabs in the third game with Duwpa carrying a minimal 10-pin advantage.

It the end, Duwpa won by a mere three pins (708-705) to give them the match. There was a great 645 for Duwpa's Colin Attard.

Playzone were the stronger side in their clash with Dream Team. The latter opened with an abysmal 618, a way off behind Playzone's 789.

The second, however, could not have been closer with Dream Team improving to clinch it by the narrowest of margins - 756-757. Playzone came back with another convincing win (796-668) to claim the match, 298 pins ahead. Doris Camilleri rolled a 591 for the winners.

Last season's runners-up, Aercomms, played well to come away with a 6-2 win from their match with Ramis.

The game results were (Aercomms-Ramis) - 824-787, 767-787 and 807-744 to give Aercomms the match points, 80 pins to the good.

www.okmalta.com fell to a 6-2 defeat at the hands of Technicolor. They lost out in the first two games but staged a comeback in an exciting finale, winning the remaining game 811-800 to avoid finishing empty-handed.
