A convicted fraudster and former singer this morning admitted to defrauding a farmer of some €1.2 million.

The case has been going on for a number of years and the man cannot be named because of a court ban.

The ban had been put in place because the accused had claimed he had a number of pending contracts with famous record labels and hoped that through these labels he would recover the famer’s money.

He had asked the farmer for money to help him acquire EU funds.

A judgment is to be handed down in two weeks.
