The Office of the Prime Minister in 2011 and 2012 awarded two contracts by direct order to a company in which the prime minister’s son was a director, it emerged in Parliament today.

The company involved was Global Translations Solutions Ltd.

Replying to a question by Silvio Schembri (PL) Prime Minister Joseph Muscat said a contract for €59 was awarded in 2011 for translation of an address by the prime minister.

In 2012 a contract for €236 was awarded for proof reading and corrections of a document by the prime minister’s secretariat.
