The Consumers Affairs Authority has urged consumers who bought baby bed canopies from IKEA, possibly also online, to stop using them immediately.

The affected models are Legendarisk, Minnen bed canopy set, Barnslig Boll, Minnen Brodyr, Himmel, Fabler, Tissla and Klammig.

The canopies, which look like mosquito nets and are designed to be draped over a child’s bed, are being withdrawn from the market and recalled from consumers over fears they could strangle children. Action has been taken by IKEA after receiving reports of young children becoming entangled in the product.
