In my desperate attempts to encourage ourselves to improve our lack of consumer orientation, with a view to persuading consumers to join Malta's Consumers' Association, I keep on boringly repeating myself ad nauseam comparing ourselves with Iceland whose population of about 275,000 is about 125,000 less than ours.
Both countries have a Consumers Association (CA) and while Malta's CA has a membership of around 600 (currently a high for Malta), the Icelandic CA has around 17,000 members. This means that while the Icelandic consumer participation rate is 6.18%, Malta's is 0.15%. At this point, in the hope of generating some solidarity and participation, I am refeaturing the application form (found on today's newspaper).
