A public consultation process which should lead to a national education strategy for consumers was launched this afternoon by the Minister for Consumers Jason Azzopardi.

The aim of the strategy is to encourage and guide consumers to make the right decisions when they came to buy products or services.

The consultation should establish the direction the policy should take in the interest of current realities and the future of the Maltese consumer.

A draft document on which the consultation, which continues until the end of September, will be based has been launched by the Authority for Consumer Affairs and Fair Competition.

Interested parties may sent their proposals to the Driector of Information, Education and Research, Consumers' Affairs Office, Mizzi House Blata l-Bajda HMR 9010, e-mail info@mccaa.org.mt .
