Consultation on the EU’s operative programmes was launched by European Affairs Minister Louis Grech and EU Funds Parliamentary Secretary Ian Borg.

During the launch, the minister siad htat the €717 million in the EU Cohension and the Regional Development funds 2014-2020 will be allocated as follows:

Research and innovation - €72 million, ICT - €38 million, small and medium enterprises - €53 million, clean energy generation - €57 million, and environment - €200 million.

The €132 in the European Social Fund 2014-2020 will be dedicated to four priorities namely employability; inclusive society; education, training and lifelong learning; and administrative capacity building in the public sector.
