The government has launched a programme to reduce administrative burdens as part of of a reform of its regulatory function.

The Competitiveness Ministry said the purpose of the reform is to reduce the costs which businesses incur for the provision of services to the various public entities.

The ministry said it is appealing to businesses to participate in the process by making their own suggestions. For this purpose, a consultation document entitled Reduction of Administrative Burdens has been published and can be accessed on www.mcmp.gov.mt

A morning conference on the subject will be held on February 1 at the Dolmen Resort. Those interested should e-mail info.mcmp@gov.mt or phone 2388 6152 by January 30.
