The 38-year-old mother and her six-year-old daughter who were badly injured in the crash are no longer in critical condition.

They are still receiving treatment at the Intensive Care Unit at Mater Dei, according to an update from the hospital yesterday.

A 20-year-old man from Tarxien and a 54-year-old man from Fgura are also receiving intensive care.

The condition of one of the men has improved slightly but the other is still in critical condition. In total, 28 people were injured when the Porsche 918 Spyder crashed into bystanders.

Twelve of them are still being treated at Mater Dei and six are waiting for to be operated on.

Some 100 persons yesterday sought psychological assistance at Mater Dei, where a unit was specifically set up to help those who were still under shock.

On Sunday, Mater Dei Hospital issued helpline numbers 2545 4032, 2545 3949 and 2545 3947 for queries on the accident.
