International pianist Phillip Dyson will perform a concert at St Augustine monastery, Valletta, tomorrow at noon.

Dyson will be performing a repertoire ranging from the classical to modern jazz, including pieces from Chopin to Gershwin and Zez Confrey.

The programme will feature Tschaikovsky/Pletnew’s Nutcracker Suite Selection, British pianist and composer Billy Mayerl’s Evening Primrose and American jazz pianist and composer Zez Confrey’s Dizzy Fingers.

He will also perform George Gershwin’s Oh Lady be good, I’ll Build a Stairway to Paradise and Prelude no. 2, and two Mozart pieces: Waltz in C sharp minor, op. 64 no. 2 and Scherzo no. 2 in B flat minor, op. 3.

After the concert, patrons will be offered the opportunity to enjoy a free guided tour of the monastery. Proceeds from the event will go towards the monastery’s restoration.
