The computer thief who was caught stealing on CCTV from Compunet and Tabone Computers was jailed three-and-a-half years after he admitted to the theft.

Drug addict Nicholas Agius, 37, of Mosta admitted stealing a mobile phone, four tablet computers, speakers from a shop in Hamrun and two Mintoff biographies from a stationer in Mosta.

He then sold the books to a stationer opposite the one he stole them from.

Mr Agius also admitted committing the crime during the period of a a suspended jail term and while on probation.
