The most common complaint received by the Malta Communications Authority between last July and December related to the repair of intermittent and temporary faults to television, internet and fixed telephony services.

The MCA said that during the period, it received 147 complaints and 150 enquiries.

A number of complaints were also received regarding termination of services and complaints or queries on practices adopted by service providers. The majority of these cases related to unsolicited calls and unfair commercial practices. The authority referred complainants to the competent authorities.

In a report on the complaints and queries received, the MCA also documented other regulatory developments such as the reduced roaming tariffs (when travelling within an EU country) that became applicable as from July 1.

The full report is available on MCA’s website.
