The government is considering ways of compensating families who had to endure more than 12 hours without electricity.

Government sources said talks had been held between the Energy Ministry and Enemalta to come up with different options that could be considered.

Power was restored to all localities yesterday, some 18 hours after an explosion knocked out Marsa Distribution Centre, causing a nation-wide blackout.
