The Community Chest Fund will be providing two guide dogs for the blind next year, President George Abela said during a meeting with a large group of persons with disability today.

The group of over 200 was the third to call on the President in recent months.

During the meeting Jeanesse Abela spoke on the problems which young people with disabilities have to access places of entertainment, Steve Mulvaney stressed the right of persons with disabilities to be offered jobs, while Joseph Stafrace urged persons with disabilities to further their education. Brian Micallef gave an overview of residential and community services for people with disabilities.

President Abela spoke on the work of the Community Chest Fund and urged organisations and individuals to contribute generously to help so that more people could be able to live an independent life.
