A number of 28 television antennae and 1,043 mobile telephony installations were registered with the Malta Communications Authority.

Answering a parliamentary question by Ċensu Galea, the Prime Minister said there were 10 registered television antennae installations with one installation each in Dwejra, Kerċem, Marsalforn, Nadur, Victoria and Żebbuġ and three telephony installations each in Żebbuġ and Kerċem.

In Malta, the highest number of television antennae installations are in Delimara, three, and two installations each in Baħrija, Għargħur and Sliema. Besides, nine others were installed in other locations in Malta.

In Gozo, there were 87 mobile telephony installations, with Mġarr having the most antennae, 11.

The villages and towns in Malta which have the highest number of mobile telephone antennae are Birkirkara (41), St Julian’s (41), Sliema (38), and Valletta (37). Comino also has its mobile telephone antenna.
