The first meeting of the joint commission set up to revise the Church-State agreement on marriage was held this morning at the Foreign Ministry.

The Government said the meeting was held in an open, cordial and collaborative spirit and positive and substantial progress has already been registered.

The Commission, formed of representatives of the Government and the Holy See, is set to continue meeting in the coming days.
