The Commission for the Administration of Justice this morning reminded lawyers of their duties and responsibilities under the Codes of Ethics when making  arguments or sharing their opinions and thoughts in the media.

It said it was issuing its statement after it noted that a number of interviews with lawyers even on cases that were sub judice were being carried in the media.

The Commission also appealed to the media to respect the presumption of innocence until proven guilty, the right to a fair hearing and the integrity of the judicial process.
