• Today, Qala parish church celebrates the feast of St Joseph with a pontifical concelebrated Mass led by Gozo Bishop Mario Grech at 9 a.m. The Pinto Band will play marches at 11 a.m. The procession with the statue of the saint will start at 7.30 p.m. The Ite ad Joseph Band will participate. The Mnarja Band will give a concert at the main square. Outdoor festivities will end with marches by the St Gregory Band at 10.30 p.m. Next Sunday Qala marks the 39th anniversary of the coronation of the titular painting of St Joseph with a concelebrated Mass led by Fr Joseph Camilleri at 10 a.m.

• The Bethel Charismatic Group will be organising a prayer meeting at St Paul Shipwrecked church, Marsalforn, on Saturday at 7.30 p.m., starting with Mass.
• The diocesan Eucharistic Movement will hold a prayer evening at Our Lady of Mount Carmel church, Ta' Ħamet, on Saturday at 8.30 p.m., followed by Mass at midnight.

• As part of its 10th anniversary celebration, Art Club 2000 is holding a collective art exhibition at the Gozo Ministry's exhibition hall, St Francis Square, Victoria, from today to August 25, opening between 8.30 a.m. and 1 p.m. Around 50 artists are taking part.
• The Gozitan Graduates Movement will be organising First Friday Mass at St Augustine church, Victoria, on Friday at 8.30 p.m. The sacrament of reconciliation will also be available.
