• The feast of Pope St Gregory the Great will be celebrated in Kerċem today. Gozo Bishop Mario Grech will lead a Pontifical Mass at 9 a.m. At noon there will be the traditional lunch. The procession with the statue of St Gregory will leave the church at 5 p.m. The St Gregory Band will take part.

• Il-Libsa ta' Kristu by the Xewkija Drama Group will be staged at Theatre Govanni, Xewkija parish centre, today at 6 p.m. and on Saturday at 7.30 p.m. For booking call 7920 4674 or 7906 9730.

• Inspire (The Eden and Razzett Foundation) Gozo will be holding the annual exhibition of collective art and antique furniture at 18 Republic Street, Victoria, from today to April 11 from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.

• A bazaar in aid of Augustinian Misssionary in Brazil Fr Adeodato Schembri will be held at St Francis Square, Victoria, tomorrow. Opening hours are from 8 a.m. to noon and from 4.15 to 7 p.m.

• A bazaar in aid of Fontana parish will be held at the former Stitches Boutique in Palm Street, Victoria, between tomorrow and March 27. Opening hours are from 8.15 a.m. to noon and from 4.15 to 7 p.m.

• The Lent retreat for members of the Padre Pio Prayer Groups in Gozo will be held at Manresa Retreat House in Victoria on Sunday at 9 a.m. Fr Anton Theuma will deliver a talk at 9 a.m., followed by a short tea/coffee break. Fr Alfred Scerri will celebrate Mass, followed by the recitation of Padre Pio's thoughts on the Via Crucis in front of the Stations of the Cross and dinner.

• Dar Ġużeppa Debono will be holding a conference on Napro Technology (natural procreative technology) at the hall in front of Lunzjata chapel on Sunday at 10 a.m. Gynaecologist Margaret Spiteri will deliver the talk. Gozo Bishop Mario Grech will lead those present in a prayer to Our Lady at the chapel.

• An Easter international celebration will be held at St Joseph parish church, Qala on Saturday between 6.30 and 8 p.m. All foreigners living in or visiting Gozo are invited to attend. The Joy Gospel Singers, organist Robert Buhagiar, The Magnificat Choir, sopranos Ruth Portelli and Patricia Buttigieg and pianist Matthew Tabone will take part.

• Fontana parish, in collaboration with the council, will be holding a Lenten concert with the participation of the Schola Cantorum Jubilate at the parish church on Saturday. The repertoire will include works, mainly a cappella, by Palestrina, Kodály, Bartolucci, Debono and Portelli. Manuel Cauchi will read meditations from Fr José Miguel Ibán ez Langlois's book Libro de la Pasión. The meditations, written in Spanish in 1986 were translated into Maltese by Fr Joseph Bajada. Entrance is free.
