• Bolt will be screened at the Don Bosco Oratory, Victoria, today at 5.30 p.m.

• 'Triggers', an exhibition of paintings in acrylic and watercolour by Shirley Wilberforce at the Cittadella Centre for Culture and the Arts is open today between 11 a.m. and 3 p.m. A contribution from the sale of paintings will go to Gozo charities through the Rotary Club Gozo.

• Betleħem f'Għajnsielem will be inaugurated by Prime Minister Lawrence Gonzi today at 5 p.m. The animated Nativity village, spread over 20,000 square metres of land, will remain open until January 3.

• Kerċem council will be organising Santa Luċija Community Day at the Santa Luċija church, tomorrow at 7.15 p.m. The event will include a historic speech by Mgr Joseph Bezzina, messages from representatives of the Community Committee and from Kerċem mayor Joe Grima. The Santa Luċija Community Award will be presented. Harpist Jacob Portelli will take part.

• Nadur council will hold a Christmas market at St Peter and St Paul Square today from 9 a.m. to noon and from 2 to 9 p.m. There will be stalls selling Christmas items, along with food and drink stands, Christmas decorations and other items. Live entertainment will be provided. Children will be able to have their photos taken with Father Christmas.

• As a follow up and as a means to explore the Gozitan dimension of the 2010 Budget, the Circolo Gozitano will be holding a public discussion at its premises at 6 Adrian Dingli Street, Victoria, today at 10 a.m.

• Fondazzjoni Ta' Klula of Santa Luċija will be holding a Light Festival on Saturday. This festival will include the distribution of Santa Luċija buns followed by a procession with the participation of young girls carrying lit candles to the centre of the village where there they will light up a traditional bonfire.

• The feast of the Immaculate Conception will be celebrated at the Cathedral on Tuesday. Gozo Bishop Mario Grech will lead a Pontifical concelebration with the participation of the Chorus Ecclesiae Cathedralis at 7.45 a.m. At 10.30 a.m., the Cathedral parish priest, Mgr Joseph Attard, will celebrate Mass for all the families of the Cathedral parish.

• The feast of the Immaculate Conception will also be celebrated in Qala. Mgr Grech will lead a concelebrated Pontifical Mass at the Immaculate Conception sanctuary at 9.30 a.m. The traditional car pilgrimage from Ta' Pinu Sanctuary starts at 1.30 p.m. Canon Joseph Zammit will bless the cars and mementoes will be distributed. The procession with the statue of the Immaculate Conception starts at 5 p.m.

• Bishop Nikol Cauchi will lead a concelebrated Mass at the Franciscan Conventual church in Victoria at 9.30 a.m. The Laudate Pueri choir will take part. Mgr Salv Tabone will lead solemn vespers at 5 p.m. followed by a procession with the statue of the Immaculate Conception with the participation of La Stella Band. A fireworks display will follow.

• Radju Lauretana will kick off the Christmas schedule on Tuesday. The radio station is working on a new project for emigrants by installing two webcams, one in the parish church and the other at the main square.
