• Beverly Hills Chihuahua will be screened at the Don Bosco Oratory, Victoria, today at 5.30 p.m.
• The Ladies Circle of the Sacred Heart Minor Seminary will be organising its monthly coffee holding in the hall of the Catholic Action headquarters, Victoria, on Thursday at 9 a.m. Tickets cost €3 and can be obtained from the members and from the school.
• The art exhibition 'Something Different' by Henry Alamango, which is being held at the Banca Giuratale, Victoria, is open today between 9 a.m. and noon. The exhibition is open Monday to Friday between 8 a.m. and 4.30 p.m., Saturdays between 8 a.m. and noon and Sundays between 9 a.m. and noon. It will remain open until November 22.
• The cultural committee within the Gozo Ministry will today hold a commemorative ceremony to mark the 61st anniversary of one of the worst sea tragedies, when 23 people drowned as they were crossing from Malta to Gozo on October 30, 1948. The ceremony will be held near the memorial in the limits of Żewwieqa in Mġarr at 10.45 a.m. It will be followed by Mass on board one of the Gozo Channel vessels.
• The Mnarja Philharmonic Band of Nadur will be holding its annual symphonic concert at the MBC Theatre, Mnarja Band Club, Nadur, on Saturday at 8 p.m.
• Primary and secondary school students will be able to attend Skola Sport at the Sports Complex in Victoria from Saturday. Disciplines include hip-hop and breakdance, table/lawn tennis, gymnastics, climbing, cycling, martial arts, handball, basketball, hockey, football, aerobics, squash and volleyball. Every Saturday a group of children will be able to experience an activity outside the complex. A Kidz Blitz programme for children attending the first three years of primary school will also be organised. There will be transport from each village and back. Children attending the first year of primary school must be taken and picked up by their parents. Parents can participate in fitness sessions during the time that their children are attending lessons. Applications are being accepted during office hours at the Gozo Sports Complex. • The Leone Band of Victoria will hold its annual band concert at the Aurora Theatre on Saturday at 8 p.m. This year the concert commemorates the 50th anniversary of the hymn (innu marċ) dedicated to the Assumption. The band will execute a musical journey from the Kings of Egypt to the King of Pop Michael Jackson. It will include medleys by Joe Cocker, Eric Clapton and Michael Jackson. Entrance is free.
