• Today, the Capuchin friars are celebrating the feast of St Francis of Assisi at the Sanctuary of Our Lady of Graces in Victoria. Xagħra archpriest Carmelo Refalo will lead solemn concelebrated Mass at 9 a.m. followed by the blessing of pets and animals.

• The Gozo Fine Art and Sculpture exhibition organised by Rotary Club Gozo at the Citadel will be open today between 11 a.m. and 3 p.m.

• An art exhibition by Angela and Simon Theuma is open at Art..e Gallery, 1 Library Street, Victoria (adjacent to St Augustine Square). • Heritage Malta, in collaboration with the Gozo Ministry, is organising an exhibition of miniature maps of Gozo and Malta at the exhibition hall, St Francis Square, Victoria. The exhibition will remain open until Sunday. On weekdays, opening hours are from 8.30 a.m. to 4.30 p.m. and on Saturday from 9 a.m. to noon.

• An exhibition of 20th century paintings of Gozo, Malta and Venice and early original engravings of religious and other subjects by David Baxter, Lance Beeke, Kathleen McFarlane, Evelyn Gibbs, Ronald Gordon and Peter Jamieson, is open at the Banca Giuratale, Victoria. Viewing hours are weekdays from 8 a.m. until 4 p.m. and on Saturdays and Sundays from 9 a.m. to noon. The exhibition remains open until October 25.

• The Alliance Francaise de Gozo will be holding winter courses for teenagers and adults at the Gozo University Centre. To receive the winter brochure, send an e-mail to afgozo@gmail.com.

• Qala council and the Menħir Qala Folk Group will be organising the fourth edition of the Qala International Folk Festival between Thursday and Sunday.
