• An exhibition of photos by Clare Borg at the Banca Giuratale, Victoria, closes today at noon.

• The Friends of the Sick and Elderly are holding a car boot sale today from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Marsalforn car park. The charge per car is €10.

• The second race of the G2 Sagra Famiglia Regatta, organised by the Imperial Gozo Yacht Club, will be held today at 1 p.m. The start line is west of Mgarr harbour breakwater.

• The feast of the Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary comes to an end today at the church dedicated to her at Savina Square, Victoria. Mgr Saviour Tabone will lead a concelebrated Mass at 5 p.m. This will be preceded by adoration in front of the Blessed Sacrament and Benediction.

• The Island Brass in Concert, with the participation of singer Petra Zammit, will take place at St Ursula Hall, Cittadella Centre for Culture and Arts, the Citadel, today at 7.30 p.m.

• 'The Unique Miniature Maps of Malta' exhibition at the Gozo Ministry will remain open until October 11. Opening times will be week days, from 8.30 a.m. to 12.30 p.m. and Saturdays from 9 a.m. to noon. After Thursday, the exhibition will be open between 8.30 a.m. and 4.30 p.m.

• You can catch a glimpse of almost 500 years of medical practice in Gozo by visiting the 'Herbs, Health, and Hospitals of Gozo Past' exhibition at the National Archives in Triq Vajringa, Victoria, on it's 20th anniversary. The exhibition will be officially inaugurated on Thursday and runs until October 17. It is open Monday to Saturday from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m.

• The Gozitan Graduates Movement invites graduates and members of all professions to First Friday Mass in Maltese, on Friday. It will be celebrated by Fr Peter Paul Cachia, OSA. Mass will be at St Augustine's church, Victoria, at 8.30 p.m. The sacrament of reconciliation will be available from 8.15 p.m.

• The Alliance Francaise is holding a series of conferences. The first is about French philosophers. Prof. Joe Friggieri will be lecturing at the University Gozo Centre in Xewkija on October 15 (Rousseau); October 22 (Voltaire); October 29 (Pascal) and November 5 (Sartre). One-hour lectures start at 7 p.m. Those interested should call 2122 0701 or 2123 8456.

• NGOs are invited to participate in an information and discussion meeting on Saturday at the NGO Centre, Xewkija, starting at 9.30 a.m. The session forms part of a series introducing the EU Leader approach.
