• Gharb celebrates the feast of the Visitation today with Mass by Gozo Bishop Mario Grech at 9 a.m. The St Margaret Band will play marches at 11 a.m. At 7.30 p.m. Mgr Grech will lead the procession, accompanied by the Visitation Band. The Leone Band will perform on the church parvis. A thanksgiving Mass will be celebrated tomorrow at 7.30 p.m. followed by a barbecue in front of the parish centre.

• The Gozo CCU Foundation will be holding a 'Concert Under The Stars' at Ta' Frenc on July 19 at 7.30 p.m. followed by a five-course meal. Price is €30. Entertainment will be provided by The Big Band Brothers. For tickets call Carmen on 7956 6496, Nickie on 9905 9653, or Sharyn on 7932 0031.

• The Victoria International Arts Festival continues this evening with a violoncello and pianoforte recital by Athil Hamdam and Tatiana Batyreva. Russian songs and arias by baritone Joseph Lia, accompanied on the piano by Elizabeth Leonardi, will feature tomorrow. The Barratt Duo from Norway, Sverre (violoncello) and Cecilie (pianoforte), will give a recital on Tuesday. Violinist Marcello Canci and pianist Gabriele Campagna will perform on Wednesday. All concerts will be held at the Aula Mgr Giuseppe Farrugia (St George's parish centre, entrance through Charity Street).

• Recitals will also be held on Thursday, Friday and Saturday at St George's Basilica. These include Fritz Heller who will play 16th century music and Scott Farrell who will give an organ recital. All events start at 8 p.m.

• Mgr Alfred Xuereb (from the Pope's household) will commemorate the silver jubilee of his ordination with Mass at St George's Basilica on Sunday at 11 a.m.
