• Xewkija celebrates the feast of St John the Baptist today with concelebrated Mass led by Gozo Bishop Mario Grech at 8.15 a.m. The St Sebastian Band of Qormi will play marches at 11 a.m. Xaghra archpriest Carmelo Refalo leads a solemn concelebrated Mass at 6.30 p.m. followed by a procession accompanied by the Precursor Band.

• The Victoria International Arts Festival continues today with a violoncello and pianoforte recital by Joslin Abdilla and Paolo Vergari at 8 p.m. Tomorrow, soprano Christine Hubbard accompanied by Peter Wilson on the piano will interpret British folk songs. On Tuesday the Big Band Brothers led by Daniel Cauchi will perform at St George's Square. Two piano recitals will take place on Wednesday and Thursday by the piano quartet from Italy AMUS and duo Fabrizio Datteri and Maria Elena Tommasi.

Alison White will be directing a ballet at Independence Square on Friday. Clarinet and pianoforte duo Godfrey Mifsud and Caroline Calleja will perform on Saturday. Performances will be held at the Aula Mgr Giuseppe Farrugia at St George's Centre, entrance through Charity Street, Victoria.

• The Gozo Cana Movement marks Father's Day today with Mass celebrated by movement director Fr George Borg at the Santa Marija cemetery chapel, near Xewkija cemetery, at 4.15 p.m.
