• The Way of the Cross is being held from Ta' Pinu Sanctuary to Ta' Ghammar Hill today at 3.30 p.m.

• The National and Regional Celebrations Committee will mark Freedom Day with a concert at the Gozo Ministry in Victoria on Tuesday at 7.30 p.m.

• Wednesday marks the 75th anniversary of the canonisation of St John Bosco and of the founding of the first oratory in Gozo.

A prayer vigil will be held at the Salesian Sisters chapel on Tuesday at 8 p.m.

On Wednesday morning children from different schools will accompany the statue of Don Bosco from Republic Street, Victoria, to the oratory.

Gozo Vicar General Giovanni Bosco Gauci will lead a Mass for children at the Don Bosco Oratory sports ground, followed by a film on Don Bosco at the oratory theatre.

Bishop Nikol Cauchi will lead a concelebrated Mass at the oratory chapel at 7 p.m. The Chorus Urbanus will take part.

• The Nativitas Choir, which forms part of the Victory Philharmonic Band of Xaghra, is celebrating its 10th anniversary. The first activity will be a Lenten retreat for members in the hall beneath the Ta' Pinu Sanctuary on Tuesday between 3 and 7 p.m.

• The Ladies' Circle of the Sacred Heart Seminary is organising a coffee morning in the hall of the Catholic Action Centre in Victoria on Thursday at 9 a.m. Tickets at €3 can be obtained from the members and from the school.

• Fr Geoffrey George Attard will deliver Lenten sermons to children at St George's Basilica, Victoria, between Monday and Thursday at 4.30 p.m.

• The feast of Our Lady of Sorrows will be celebrated at St James church, Victoria, on Friday. Mass will be said every half hour between 6 a.m. and 1 p.m. Gozo Bishop Mario Grech will celebrate Mass on the church parvis at 6.30 p.m. followed by a procession with the statue of Our Lady.

• The Chorus Urbanus will be presenting a concert of sacred music at St George's Basilica, Victoria, on Sunday at 8.30 p.m. The programme will include the premiere of Theodore Dubois' cantata, The Seven Words of Christ.

• Holy Week services for English-speaking Catholics living in or visiting Gozo will be held at the Sacred Heart Seminary in Enrico Mizzi Street, Victoria.
