• The feast of Our Lady of Loreto is being celebrated today in Għajnsielem. At 9 a.m., Gozo Bishop Mario Grech will concelebrate Mass and deliver the homily. Marches will be played at 5.15 p.m. by the Precursor Band and at 6.30 and 8 p.m. by the St Joseph and Leone Bands.

Solemn vespers, led by Mgr Joseph Zerafa, will be sung at 6.30 p.m.

The procession, led by archpriest Canon Frankie Bajada, accompanied by the St Joseph Band, leaves the church at 7.30 p.m. The Leone Band will perform at Our Lady of Loreto Square at 8.30 p.m.

The procession will end with a Eucharistic celebration at 10.30 p.m., followed by marches by the St Joseph Band from Apparition Square to Sanctuary Square.

• Sixteen teams from Malta and Gozo are competing in a Futsal five-a-side football tournament which closes today.

On this final day there will be an extravaganza of sport, including nursery children and female footballers playing exhibition matches as well as fun games, such as penalty shootouts and crossbar challenges.

• The Gozo Youth Wind Band will be holding an open air concert at Xlendi Bay on Wednesday at 9.15 p.m.

The band will be under the direction of Mro Joseph Grech. Entertainment will include a varied selection of semi-classic, light pop and contemporary pieces to suit all tastes.

• The Victory Band will hold a vocal and instrumental musical concert celebrating its 110th anniversary, on Thursday at 9.30 p.m. in Xagħra.

The band will be under the direction of Mro Joseph Galea and assistant director Mro Josef Debrincat.

The Nativitas Choir, under the direction of Silvana Agius and assistant director Ivan Attard, will also take part.

• An exhibition of paintings featuring landscapes and seascapes in Gozo by artist Lois Cox will be inaugurated by Minister Debono on Friday at 6 p.m. at the Exhibitions Hall, St Francis Square, Victoria.

The exhibition will be open to the public on weekdays between 8.30 a.m. and 12.30 p.m. until September 26. Some of the proceeds will go to the Malta Autism and Aspergers parents association.

• The University Gozo Centre is organising its annual summer activity entitled 'An evening with Island Brass' on Friday.

The programme will include several well-known musical pieces. Soprano Georgina Gauci will participate. The event will take place in the centre's central courtyard and will start at 8 p.m.
