• Munxar parish celebrates the feast of St Paul Shipwrecked with a concelebrated Mass led by Gozo Bishop Mario Grech today at 9a.m. The Allegro and Ilħna Smewwija choirs will take part. Traditional races will be held at 1.30 p.m. Solemn vespers, led by Mgr Joseph Curmi, will be held at 6.30 p.m. followed by a procession at 7.30 p.m. Mgr Salv Debrincat will lead the procession, accompanied by the Victory Band. The La Stella and St Gregory bands will give a concert on the square. The St Gregory Band will close the festivities with marches at 11 p.m.

• Rotary Club Gozo will be hosting a wine tasting evening on May 29, featuring New World wines courtesy of Abrahams of Xagħra and Attard and Co. All proceeds will go to the CCU Foundation to help in the purchase of the much needed heart-monitoring equipment for the Gozo General Hospital. • A fundraising exhibition entitled 'Synergy' by Caroline Said Lawrence is to be held at Sinclair Stevenson Gallery, 59 Trux Street, Għarb, today from 10 a.m. to 12.30 p.m. and 4.30 to 7 p.m. Proceeds will go towards the Friends of the Sick and the Elderly, the OASI Foundation and Flimkien Għal Ambjent Aħjar. • For the fifth consecutive year the Don Bosco Oratory is organising the children's summer club between July 2 and September 1. Applications may be obtained from the oratory. The closing date is May 31.

• A fund-raising wine and pizza will be held at the Sacred Heart Seminary ground in Victoria on June 5 at 7 p.m. Tickets can be obtained from the seminary (2155 6479), school council members or the volunteers.

• The cathedral parish will organise a pilgrimage on the 125th anniversary of Our Lady's call to Carmela Grima on Wednesday at 5 p.m. The activity will start at the junction between Għarb Road and Ta' Pinu Road. On arrival at Ta' Pinu sanctuary, Mass will be celebrated. Mass will be celebrated at 5, 6, 7, 8.30 and 9 a.m. and at 5.30, 6.30 and 8 p.m.

• Nicoline Sagona will be delivering a lecture on the exhibition at the Banca Giuratale in Victoria. She will give a synoptic overview of landscape painting in Malta between the late 18th and early 20th centuries. The lecture will be held in the Upper Hall of the Banca Giuratale on Friday at 7 p.m. Admission is free. The lecture will be delivered in English.

• The Victoria Scout Group is holding a wine and food evening at Fort Chambray on Saturday at 7.30 p.m. DJ Joe Cassar and a folklore group will be in attendance. • The Friends of the Sick and Elderly are holding a car boot sale today at Marsalforn car park from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. The charge per car is €10 payable on the day.

• Għajnsielem Blood Drive, an activity organised by the St Joseph Band Club in collaboration with the Malta Red Cross Gozo Branch and the Malta National Blood Transfusion will take place on Saturday at the band club premises from 8.30 a.m. to 2 p.m. For reservations call 9945 9426.
