• The University of Malta Gozo Centre will be organising the annual Gozo Lace Day for the 12th consecutive year. The event will be held today from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the University Gozo Centre, Mġarr Road, Xewkija. It will consist of a number of exhibitions and demonstrations in relation with lace-making. Lacemakers, both from Malta and Gozo are invited to participate. Stands will be mounted by the International Organisation of Needle and Bobbin Lace (OIDFA) and by the Malta Lace Guild. There will also be demonstrations of sprang, embroidery, card weaving, tapestry weaving, cord lacing and information about courses in different aspects of Maltese Lace. Koperattiva Għawdxija tal-Bizzilla u Artiġjanat will be present with lace-making material. Gozo Minister Giovanna Debono will present certificates to students who successfully completed courses in lace-making.

• On Tuesday, Gozo Bishop Mario Grech will celebrate a Thanksgiving Mass at Gozo College Xewkija Primary commemorating the 50th anniversary of the inauguration of the said school. • A Gaulitana festival of music is being held between today and Friday. The Gaulitanus choir soloists will give a concert at the Exhibition Hall, Victoria, today at 8 p.m. On Wednesday, at 8 p.m., the Groove Ensemble of Italy will be in concert at the Gozo Ministry's courtyard in Victoria. British pianist Marcel Zidani will give a recital at the Aula Mgr G. Farrugia, St George's Basilica, Victoria, on Friday at 8 p.m.
