Barbara O'Brien will be holding a solo exhibition entitled Pieces Of Me that shows her personal journey of deep emotions she transmits through colour and texture.

Every brush stroke represents a heartbeat, a profound and intense experience and each piece of her collection communicates a feeling and a different emotion, the artist said.

The use of colours and textures remains the signature to her style as she continues in her discovery of different combinations - merging soft gentle tones with harsher strokes.

"The point is thinking outside the box, the box being the canvas or paper and the paint, fresh ideas," Ms O'Brien said.

The exhibition is open throughout this month at the Hilton.
