Visitors are today able to take a rare, close-up view of the historic Pinto Clock at the Palace in Valletta.

The clock, built in 1745,  was recently extensively restored by the Resources Ministry in a €120,000 project.

Visitors to the palace can watch a presentation of what the restoration involved and also climb up to the clock itself and see its mechanism work.

Tours will be accepted in small groups up to 2 p.m.
