The Kilimanjaro Challenge 6 (KC6) team recently held their farewell meal at the Corinthia, St Ġorġ Hotel, St Julian’s.

All funds raised during the event, as with all other events organised by the team, went towards the construction of a clinic in the Ethiopian village of Karro. Once comp-leted, the facility will provide medical care to over 10,000 people.

The KC6 team set off for Tanzania last Sunday. The group of 11 people, with ages ranging from 21 to 50, will be attempting to scale Africa’s highest peak, which, at 5,893m, is also the world’s highest free standing mountain.

Those wishing to make a donation to the cause may do so at HSBC account number 0612 4933 0001 or Bank of Valletta number 4001 9279 620.
