Valletta have strengthened their attacking options with the signing of a Brazilian forward, Marcelo 'Peabiru' Tolomeotti.
Valletta FC president Victor Sciriha told The Times that Peabiru, 29, has inked a one-year contract with an option of another year.
The Citizens have been one of the busiest clubs in the transfer market but their search for new foreigners turned out to be more complicated than expected as the two Nigerians they were hoping to sign never turned up due to visa problems.
Last month, Valletta reached agreement with Msida to sign Cameroon forward Priso Doding and, this week, they concluded talks with Peabiru even though they are still waiting for his international transfer certificate.
Earlier this week, Claude Mattocks left Valletta to join Marsaxlokk.
Meanwhile, Sliema coach Stephen Azzopardi has signed a new three-year deal with the Wanderers. Azzopardi had a year remaining on his first contract but the new agreement replaces the previous deal.
Sliema have also signed two new foreign players, 22-year-old Serbian striker Kosta Bjedov, who will join on a season-long loan from Slovakia's MKF Kosice, and Daniel Severino, an Australian midfielder.
