The Citrus Festival is being held in the private gardens of San Anton Palace today, with hundreds flocking to the event this morning.

Many went there to admire the gardens, but most left carrying bags of oranges, orange muffins, orange cakes and traditional Maltese items.

The festival was inaugurated by President George Abela. It was organised by the Community Chest Fund to raise funds for RISE, the foundation which works for the rehabilitation of former prisoners in society.
