Church schools looked forward to work together with the state, irrelevant of who was elected to government, to continue to instil in children Christian and human values inspired by the gospel.

In a memorandum to political parties, attached in the pdf link below, the Christian Education Secretariat said church schools felt duty bound to contribute to the drawing up of a national education policy.

The state, the secretariat said, had the duty to include church schools in the continuous and participatory process of this policy.

This work, in partnership with the state, should lead to the full respect of Church schools' responsible autonomy, not just in  principle but also in practice.
