Visitors to this year’s Notte Bianca will be able to create melodies using the different church bells across Valletta, thanks to an intricate audio network.
Artistic director Sean Buhagiar said the installation, designed by a local audio engineer, would be one of many new and exciting attractions.
The national cultural event, being held on October 4, is expected to attract some 70,000 visitors, and will include performances and installations by more than 100 artists.
Mr Buhagiar said the event was expected to be bigger than ever, and would this year stretch out into Floriana. The festivities will also be tied to the Gudja local feast and ferries will link the capital to the North end of the island.
An app and interactive website will also bring the event to life. These, Mr Buhagiar said, will be released later this month.
More details on the highly anticipated evening will be revealed closer to the date.
