What is your most favourite part of Christmas?

My favourite part of Christmas is Christmas morning, when the kids run to the Christmas tree the second they wake up to check if Santa has come round and left presents...I just love the look on their faces when they find out that the cookies and milk they would have left the night before have been consumed... and the excitement after while they unwrap their presents.

Which is your best Christmas memory of all time?

I was lucky to have had an amazing childhood, so it is difficult to select one specific memory.  I look back fondly at all the family Christmas lunches we had whilst growing up, with all the extended family gathered together.

What is the best gift you ever got for Christmas?

The best Christmas gift I ever received was the engagement ring my husband surprised me with in Christmas of 2005 … I kind of knew that a proposal was in the pipeline but on the day it happened it was completely unexpected...I just love surprises!

If you had a magic wand, what would you want for Christmas this year?

I would make sure all the children in the world were fed, safe and warm...it is so unfair that whilst on this part of the world the majority of us are so blessed, others struggle to simply survive.  I would also like to make sure that nobody, especially old people, felt lonely and abandoned.

Do you believe in Santa Claus?

Yes, I believe in anything that is magical and that keeps us dreaming...the biggest mistake us adults make is that at some point we stop dreaming...

Which is your favourite Christmas song?

My favourite Christmas Carol is 'Silent Night' … besides bringing back childhood memories, it just has a magical feel to it and I get goose bumps when I hear it.

What will be your New Year resolutions this year?

This year's resolution will be to be more committed to my health – something we take so much for granted but which can be taken away from us in seconds and completely changes life as we know it. I plan to eat healthier and exercise regularly.

What is your favourite holiday season food?

Anything chocolatey... dark chocolate preferably :)

Christmas is a time of giving, will you be doing something charitable this Christmas ?

To be honest, until now I had not yet planned anything in particular...however this question has made me reflect, and I have decided on something that I will do, which I prefer to keep it confidential.  Having said that, I feel that any acts of charity should not be one-offs to satisfy our conscience once a year, but as much as we can, we should make a commitment to be 'charitable' throughout the year.  I also feel that to be 'charitable' we do not have to do anything extraordinary – visiting a lonely friend or relative, greeting others with a genuine warm smile, or just refraining from saying unkind words, are little things we can all afford to do the whole year through.
